Drumming has been used in different cultures throughout the ages. In our genes we have some kind of image of drumming around a fire. Since ancient times, drums have been used for ceremonies, healing, tribal gatherings and rites of passage. The body drum is a rhythm instrument among others, but for many it is a personal magical/power object, believed to help with healing the body and mind. The drum is acquired as a work tool, to connect with the spirit world, for spiritual growth, as a self-healing tool for stress, trauma, insomnia, ceremonial instruments, drum circles and retreats. For many it is a tool for meditation and calming.
